'Kind words can be short and easy to speak,
but their echoes are truly endless'.
- Mother Teresa
Beechlawn is an inter denominational school, we strive to promote respect for all faiths and religious beliefs, we focus on becoming good citizens and having a moral sense of what is good and what is wrong. We value kindness, happiness, respect and honour. This is possible with the co operation of family, church and school. The schemes of work taught and the general ethos of the school echo this.
Religious education is closely linked with personal development and citizenship. We want our students to become good people, to be a good citizen first you have to be a good person with values, principles and ethics.
Each year group covers a wide variety of topics that are carefully linked with religious events such as Christmas and Easter.
A closer look at the schemes of work will provide you with a general overview of the work covered by each year group.
