ICT is an integral part of the learning programme in Beechlawn. Pupils have access to a wide range or resources and equipment that help to consolidate learning across all the Curriculum areas. These include computers, programmable robots, tape recorders, CD players, calculators, digital cameras and video cameras. In Beechlawn we have two computer suites and each classroom has a number of computers. The majority of classrooms within the school have Interactive Whiteboards to assist the teaching of all subjects. Our aims are that, through ICT we:
Develop all areas of the Curriculum. Develop Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities as Pupils are encouraged to use their own initiative, imagination, reasoning and investigative skill's Develop basic skills in the use of PCs in order to equip pupils to live in an ICT rich world. Encourage children to work individually and collaboratively. Give pupils access to wide range of information. Give each Pupil a sense of confidence, achievement and enjoyment.
